Feed Me Light’s involvement in the 2022 FIFA World Cup began with a small contribution to the tournament mascot. After delivering on that initial brief, our role quickly expanded, until there was virtually no facet of the event’s creative output we weren’t part of. From social content to out-of-home campaigns, to the grandeur of the opening ceremony itself, our team’s work touched audiences around the world.
Social Content
We produced a series of bespoke shorts for social media, seamlessly integrating the 3D mascot into archival footage from previous World Cups. These playful, shareable pieces bridged the gap between the tournament’s rich history and its 2022 edition, engaging global fans in the lead-up to kick-off.
Opening Ceremony
For the opening ceremony, we crafted a grand cinematic film that was integrated directly into the live stadium performance in Qatar. The result was a visually striking blend of pre-rendered storytelling and real-time spectacle, setting the stage for one of the world’s most-watched sporting events.
Projection Mapping
We designed an out-of-home projection to be displayed on the [Building Name], working closely with the technical constraints of viewing angles and scale. The projection featured mesmerising illusion patterns and the full mascot lineup, culminating in a dynamic countdown to the tournament’s opening.
Our work on the 2022 FIFA World Cup showcased Feed Me Light’s capacity to operate at the very highest level of global events. From the smallest social snippet to the largest stadium screen, every piece was crafted to inspire, engage, and contribute to the shared excitement of the tournament.
